Well the term has finished and E.R.O has been. It is wonderful to be able to tell you that we earnt a stunning report. ERO noticed how amazing our children were and what a great place Newbury is to be in! What was really cool was that they mentioned the year 7 and 8 classes and the quality of the teaching and learning in them! Very cool guys- well done!

We will have lunch a little but earlier on Friday as we have a staff lunch that day to celebrate a great term as well. =)
Remember to bring in things for the auction AND the cloakbay AND remember some food or drink for Friday!

I have changed the site again- what do you think? Does the picture look familiar? What do you think might be a good idea to add to the site?
We will have a shared lunch on Friday to celebrate the end of the term. Please bring a range of food- and some hot if possible- so we do not just end up with chips and biscuits and no ‘real’ food that will fill you up.
To make the auction successful we need YOU to bring in great games/books/toys/DVDs/Videos etc that you are sick of now but others might enjoy.REMEMBER- your parents MUST agree to you bringing in each thing!

What can I say? You guys did it again! You were outstanding on Friday. We had very little time, most of us were sick and yet no-one could tell that when they watched you! I am very proud of your persistence, interdependent thinking and working and the way that you thought flexibly to make it interesting and exciting.
I have my release day on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon off to work with Mrs Lye. I KNOW that you will be amazing with the reliever and hopefully I will remember to pick a monitor. LOL. Please remind me on Monday to organise that AND things for the newsletter from our assembly and we need to get all the portfolio pictures up and in order.
I am really looking forward to dong the mini census with Room 7 but we will discuss more of that on Monday.

Please be careful at the moment as we have LOTS of bugs in our room. If you are sick-please stay home if possible and get well and if you are at school please BLOW your nose and use the handwash.
We also have Nits back in the school so please get your hair checked every day at home.

Science Fair will be due (completed) in week 2, term 3. We will start some work on this later in the week but you need to post your science fair homework HERE. Go to the homework page to see what the task is.
We have assembly next week BUT we have inter-school cross country Tuesday, I am on a course Tuesday afternoon, manual on Wednesday morning and our cross country in the afternoon this week. Next week we have Kainui cross country on Tuesday and ripper rugby Wednesday….SO we need to start thinking NOW. Get your thinking caps on about our theme for the assembly and different items we could do and we will discuss them this week.
